Bar Tako is a limited-time restaurant bringing a bold exploration of Mexican and Japanese cuisine to the heart of downtown San Jose. The menu blends Mexican culinary traditions with Japanese technique, revealing the natural complement between the two cuisines to create something both familiar and unexpected. Open daily for lunch, dinner and drinks, Bar Tako features a traditional Japanese robata grill alongside creative raw bar preparations and shared plates that draw from both Mexican and Japanese flavors and ingredients. The beverage program mirrors the interplay of cuisines, with a focus on tequila, mezcal, and Japanese whisky used to create distinctive cocktails and spirit-free drinks.
